Dear Parents - A Letter From the President

Dear Potential New Member Families,

On behalf of the University of South Florida Panhellenic Association, I would like to welcome you to our community! We are thrilled that your student has chosen to become a fellow Bull and explore Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of South Florida. Adjusting to college life can be nerve-racking, but joining the Panhellenic community is an exciting way to find a home-away-from-home. When I joined the Panhellenic community in my sophomore year, I was searching for a place on campus where I could be my authentic self and gain a network of support. Being a first generation college student, both my parents and I were unaware of all the opportunities Panhellenic Life had to offer. We were wary at first, but the leadership opportunities, community of empowering women, and personal development I have gained is unmatched. This community has given me more than I ever imagined.

Our community holds the values of grow, service, empower, and respect near and dear to our hearts. We pride ourselves on implementing these values in our everyday life. Additionally, our chapters have their own set of values along with the four previously mentioned Panhellenic values. Throughout our recruitment process, we strive to have a values-based experience. This allows women to select a chapter that best aligns with their own personal values. Upon joining our community, women have the opportunity to further their professional and personal development, gain leadership positions, and create life-long friendships. Membership in the Panhellenic Association is far greater than the letters one is granted; it is a community of women who aim to become the best version of themselves. This is a foundation where individuals support one another in academics, personal, and career development. Our community is a place where a sense of home is developed and relationships form that go beyond collegiate life. Being apart of Panhellenic means being apart of something greater than yourself. Panhellenic, to me, is where I found my sense of purpose and where my passions developed. It is my hope that your student, too, gains these experiences, if she decides to join our Panhellenic community.

Thank you for your interest in acquiring more insight on Panhellenic Life here at the USF. The Panhellenic Association hopes your student joins our community and we wish them the best of luck in finding their home-away-from-home!

Go Panhellenic! And as always, Go Bulls!
