Without my chapter, I wouldn’t be half of the woman I am today. I am empowered to be a leader, to succeed, and to be the best version of myself that I can possibly be. Having a home away from home and constant support from my sisters is truly why I stay!
We are all very different but in the best way. We bring out different aspects of each other and we are able to help each other because we have all been through so many different things. Everyone is so real and it’s not about having to force yourself to fit in, you’re here because you belong here. All our values balance each other out, and help us strive for being the best versions of ourselves. It’s not only helpful in college but these values are important throughout your life.
I love sigma delta tau and how we value friendship and philanthropy! To me, being a good friend means having compassion and empathy. Sigma Delta Tau makes me a well rounded individual, and allows me the opportunity to give back to my community while growing as a person!
My favorite values within my chapter Scholarship, friendship, leadership. Its everything that is needed in my life as I go through college! I love sig delt bc everyone is very strongly opinionated and it’s cool bc ultimate we are sisters so friendship comes before difference between us.
My chapters values helped me to grow so much during my time in college and made me the woman I am today. I wouldn’t be here without the support I receive from my sisterhood in leadership, scholarship, and philanthropy. I am so proud to be apart of an organization which empowers women to be the best versions of themselves.
One of Sigma Delta Tau’s most important values, in my opinion, is empowerment. When I joined the chapter I was shy and didn’t speak very much in front of my sisters. Older members of the chapter saw potential in me and encouraged me to run for my first position: props director. I would never be the leader that I am today without the support and love of my sisters. They have empowered me to be a stronger and braver person than I ever thought I was capable of.
